Upcoming webinar: Navigating the Intersections and Overlays of Race, Class, Disability, and Queerness

Talila Lewis will reframe ableism as a form of oppression that is experienced by all marginalized peoples (as opposed to just being experienced by those who are disabled or labeled disabled); and offer context into the inextricably linked struggles of multiple-marginalized people. The audience will leave with a new appreciation of why disability justice is a requisite for all forms of social justice–especially racial justice.

UBCO Climate Action Plan 2030

Tell us what you think about UBCO’s Climate Action Plan and be entered to win a $100 gift card

In December 2019, UBC declared a climate emergency. As a result, the university is developing an ambitious Climate Action Plan (CAP2030) for both the UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan campuses aimed at implementing strategies that will result in emissions reductions from UBCO’s core operations by 2030 through clean energy solutions and energy-efficient technologies, along with identifying new ways to reduce emissions through our day-to-day activities, including commuting, food, waste, and air travel. Now we’re turning to you, members of the UBCO community, to share your valuable insights around what we can all do to help meet our goals. Come to one of our virtual events to learn more about CAP2030 and fill out a survey to share your perspective!

All survey participants will be entered into a draw to win a $100 gift card.
