Homecoming 2023 | Sept. 16 - 23

Celebrate the UBC Okanagan community by coming back to campus for a weekend of activities. Root for the men’s and women’s soccer teams at a thrilling UBCO Heat soccer double-header. And what’s summer without a barbecue? Enjoy tasty food and drink, and great conversation with fellow alumni and the principal and deputy vice-chancellor.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 | 2 - 3 P.M.

Explore Indigenous Flora through Augmented Reality

The Okanagan School of Education will be presenting an exciting Augmented Reality (AR) experience on  campus. In this land-based learning activity, AR software will serve as your guide to locate, identify, and learn the Syilx names of Indigenous flora, giving you a deeper understanding of the importance of these plants to the Syilx culture. You will have the opportunity to participate in groups, connect with nature, and learn more about Indigenous Okanagan species found on campus. We hope this unique experience will be both educational and enjoyable.
