Summer has arrived and with that comes the challenges of extreme heat and wildfire smoke. Here are some ideas to consider to help your business stay cool and safe:

Extreme Heat:

• Insulate/weather strip windows, doors, attics, & walls.
• Add shade structures or vegetation outside or use blinds/awnings inside.
• Upgrade to energy-efficient (triple-pane) windows.
• Use light-coloured or reflective roofing.
• Install a heat pump or air conditioner.

Wildfire Smoke

• Regularly check/replace furnace & air exchange filters.
• Set furnace thermostats/fans to minimum.
• Close AC fresh-air intake & seal windows/doors.
