Anne-Frédérique Bayard Appointed Executive Director of the Fédération des Sports à Quatre Murs du Québec
The Board of Directors of the Fédération des Sports à Quatre Murs du Québec is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Anne-Frédérique Bayard as Executive Director.
This appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Michel Séguin, who has worked closely with Ms. Bayard over the past several months to ensure a smooth transition.
During his 12 years with the Federation, Mr. Séguin demonstrated remarkable ingenuity and inspiring leadership, contributing significantly to the organization's growth and long-term sustainability.
Among his many accomplishments, he oversaw several governance and compliance initiatives, helped expand the organization, and increased its staff from two to five employees over the past several years. He also coordinated the relocation of the Federation's offices from the Olympic Stadium to the Maison du loisir et du sport, managed the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and played an active role in developing and implementing the organization's recovery plan.
Under his leadership, and through the successful management of the Placements Sports program, the Federation's revenues increased tenfold. His consistent administrative rigor and prudent financial planning leave the Federation in an excellent financial position, well prepared to meet future challenges. Mr. Séguin will also remain available to support the Federation by sharing the expertise and knowledge he has acquired throughout his years with the organization.
A member of the Federation's team since 2021, Ms. Bayard has an in-depth understanding of the organization, its disciplines, and the broader sporting community.
Over the past five years, she has played a central role in developing numerous projects and initiatives across the province. She has established partnerships within local communities and educational institutions throughout Québec, while also managing a wide range of grant applications. In addition, she served on Team Québec's communications team during the 2023 and 2025 Canada Games.
Her versatility, extensive knowledge of the organization's activities, and ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously are valuable strengths that will help her excel in her new role.
Ms. Bayard will officially assume the position of Executive Director on July 1, 2026, as preparations begin for the upcoming wallball, racquetball, and squash season.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we wish Ms. Bayard every success in her new position. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Séguin for his many years of dedication to the development of our sports and wish him a happy and well-deserved retirement.
