happy national volunteer week!

In addition to being Patient Experience Week, April 23-29 is also National Volunteer Week in Canada! So after sharing your patient experiences on our blog this week, we wanted to take time to acknowledge the contributions that you make as volunteers.

In 2016, 428 patient partners participated in more than 200 engagement opportunities in every corner of the province. You shared your time and wisdom with health care teams in every area of care who are working to create a better patient experience. And in the first few months of 2017, we've grown to more than 600 patient partners across BC. Thank you to each of you for your willingness to volunteer for a better, more patient- and family-centred health care system.

We invite you to share with us, through email or in our Facebook Group, how we can best support you as volunteers.

Even though the official National Volunteer Week ends tomorrow, we hope you know we appreciate everything that you do every single day.

Your Patient Experience Week Stories

We asked patient partners (and one provider) to share their experiences of care with us in guest blog posts this past week. Read them at the links below.
