News & information for parents and families in the Surrey School District
COVID-19 UPDATE
With the high number of COVID-19 cases in Surrey & White Rock, and the corresponding likelihood of exposures in our schools, we are implementing a continuum of measures to mitigate the effects of exposures and prevent transmission in our schools.
COVID-19 mouth rinse/gargle test kits available at all schools in the district
BC Children’s Hospital and Fraser Health have made test kits available for any student who becomes symptomatic during the school day. A kit will be offered to the parent/guardian to take home when the child is picked up.
District hosting Cross-Cultural Symposium on Anti-Racism & Intersectionality
The event is an opportunity for Grade 8-12 students to gain a better understanding of the challenges that Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) individuals face.
Getting to and from school safely is important. While the district does not recommend ride sharing at this time, we encourage those who must carpool to follow the guidelines provided by the BC Centre for Disease Control.
