ANNOUNCEMENTS

Black History Month is a month we dedicate to honouring and celebrating the achievements and contributions that Black Canadians have made in the past and present day. The School of Kinesiology salutes the Black Canadian students, staff, faculty, and all people of Afro-Canadian heritage who have contributed so much to our country, community, and culture and continue to inspire generation after generation.

Unapologetically Black
by Zoë Barbosa, 4th-year KIN student

My journey into the School of Kinesiology is similar to many of my peers ... although this path may be common, my experience has been quite different than the majority. Being a Black woman in predominantly white spaces ... has made my journey unique and at times, challenging.

Read KIN student and KUS BIPOC Professional Development Coordinator Zoë Balbosa's story on her inspirations and personal connections to Black History Month.
