This week’s educator resources, Caring Connections, help to develop mutual understanding, healthy relationships, and classroom environments where students feel safe, respected, and valued. Through mental health literacy, culturally-grounded storytelling, and inclusive, play-based activities, these tools nurture belonging, resilience, and emotional well-being.

Educator Resources:

1. Provided by School Mental Health Ontario, the Mental Health Literacy Lesson Plans are designed to support the development of basic mental health literacy and social-emotional learning (Grades 1-8).

2. Produced by the Indigenous Youth Wellness Team, the Indigenous Youth Wellness Videos feature culturally-grounded, youth-driven videos that promote mental wellness, identity, and resilience among Indigenous youth—making it ideal for sparking classroom discussions around self-esteem, belonging, and community.

3. Provided by BC Healthy Communities, Play – Child and Youth Mental Well-Being Resources (K-12) has evidence-based tools, activities, and guides to support resilience, connection, and emotional well-being in students through play-based and inclusive approaches.
