Giant Bubble Party

Our Retro March Break kicks off with a fun Bubble Party on Monday, March 13 at 11am with JoJo Fun Entertainment. Meet us in the Gallery for this fun and interactive program and discover the wonderous magic of bubbles! All-ages.

After-Hours Teen Night

Have you ever wanted to hang out in the Library after-hours?  Put on your neon clothes and join us at L.E. Shore Library for our After Hours Teen Night! Thursday, March 16 at 7pm. There will be 80s movies, music, board games, snacks, and FUN! Ages 13 and up. Registration is required.

Ultimate Science Saturdays

Get creative and messy with cool science experiments!  Explore different scientific concepts with hands-on activities at L.E. Shore Library. March is Balloons in a Bottle (March 11 at 11am) and Magic Milk (March 25 at 11am). We have two classes in April as well!  Registration required.

Diverse Perspectives on the Bay Exhibit Launch

The Gallery at L.E. Shore is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of its March exhibit – Diverse Perspectives from the Bay! Featuring Barbara Simmons, Dee Hutton, Jennifer Keskikyla and Pauline Jennett. Join the artists for their opening reception on March 4 from 2-4pm. No registration required – drop-ins welcome!

Celebrate Local Women on International Women's Day

International Women's Day is March 8. We will be highlighting women who have had a community impact here in The Blue Mountains. Each hour, a woman's story will be shared: acknowledging 24 women in 24 hours.

ACC Presents Juggling the Notes – A Musical Event

Tuesday, March 14 at 7pm, The Gallery at L.E. Shore

Will Henry’s book “Juggling the Notes” introduces readers to traditional fiddle music and dance culture. Join Will for an evening of live traditional tunes (accompanied by concertina player Lynda Henry and Irish flute and clawhammer banjo player Dan McGee) and a presentation based on his 40 years of following fiddle culture! This program is an in-person event only and will not be available on our YouTube channel. Registration required.

Our Retro Reading list is keeping us in a state of nostalgia. Some set in the 1980s, others transporting us back to the culture of that decade, these novels are a must for those who love Stranger Things and long to experience the pre-internet & smart phone era.

A vivid love letter to the 1980s and one woman's struggle to overcome the challenges of immigration.
