Thank You, BookFest Supporters!

Our thanks go out to the Friends of the Bowen Island Library Society (FOBILS) volunteers for putting together another well-attended and well-shopped BookFest this past May long weekend.

Thank you also to everyone who came out and bought books in support of the Bowen Library.

We hope that these important fundraisers can continue. The Friends are looking for a space to store and sort books  between sales, as they have recently lost use of their current space.

The Friends are seeking approximately 500 square feet of space, with level entry and preferably with heat. If you have space or know of space available, please contact the Library via email and we will pass your contact info on to the Friends.

Instagram post of bookface style photo with hand holding a book "Digital Data Security" in front of library staff person. Book cover has photo of a hooded, masked person on a laptop. Staff's hands are at a keyboard, so it looks like they are the nefarious, ill-doing internet hacker on the cover.
book face style photo, with library staff holding the book "The Green Man" in front of his face. The cover has eyes in a forest canopy and it looks like our staff has a foresty-face. Staff is holding a few ferns, with grass and forest background. Second photo is of some books in our book display, that feature titles with the words green and queen in them.
