Congrats to Isabel Jordan:
A Leader in Advancing the Patient Voice

The BC Patient Safety & Quality Council just revealed the winners of its 2018 Quality Awards, and we’re thrilled to have one of our long-time patient partners among them!

Isabel Jordan was chosen by the judges as the winner of the Leadership in Advancing the Patient Voice award, which celebrates people who made an outstanding contribution to advancing the patient voice. It’s a well-deserved recognition for her journey in improving care for patients with undiagnosed rare diseases for over 10 years!

We’d also like to congratulate Erin Gibson, Fraser Health’s Harm Reduction Coordinator, for being chosen as the runner-up in the category. She has worked tirelessly to develop and expand a harm reduction program within Fraser Health for the last five years.

We’re very happy to see several projects recognized which made exceptional contributions to improving quality in all areas of care, from preventing illness to providing care at the end of life! Read more about Isabel and Erin in our new blog post and meet all the winners and runners-up.

Our Oversight & Advisory Committee's New Co-Chair

We’re happy to welcome Pamela Jessen as the new co-chair of our Oversight & Advisory Committee! Pamela has been a patient partner for almost four years and decided to join the committee for the opportunity to use her passion for change in the health care system.

Pamela co-chaired her first meeting on November 21. See the meeting agenda – we’ll have the minutes online soon.

Who Should Be Included in Health Care Conferences?
