New agreement with the Société de transport de Laval (STL)


The STL and the STM are now working together to provide paratransit service for Laval residents.

Starting January 1, 2026, the STM will handle the following on behalf of the STL:

  • Managing reservation requests and trip dispatching
  • Managing service providers and contractual agreements
  • Maintaining service quality
  • Planning, optimizing and providing paratransit service

The STL will remain responsible for:

  • Processing applications for paratransit service within its territory
  • Providing customer service and managing customer files
  • Responding to questions, complaints or feedback after a trip

The same commitment to service

Rest assured—this agreement will not affect the quality of our services. Trips with us continue as usual. All booking requests from our customers will be honoured, regardless of the reason for the trip or the location.

Coming soon: New online reservation site

Good news: our online reservation site is getting an upgrade!

Booking, cancelling or changing your trips online will soon be easier and more convenient, whether on mobile or desktop.

The new site will simplify trip management with a more user-friendly interface, improved online support and full compliance with the highest accessibility standards. It has also been tested with the most commonly used screen readers throughout its development.

A group of customers will have the chance to test the new platform this fall, ahead of its official launch in 2026.

 

New automated phone menu options

We’ve added new automated options to give you more independence and quick access to your trip information.

  • Trip details

No need to wait on the line—you can now access details of your scheduled trips for the next seven days, 24 hours a day, through Option 1 > Choice 2 in our phone menu.

Just enter your file number and access code (the four digits of your birth month and day), then follow the prompts.

  • Real-time pick-up and drop-off times

Check the real-time arrival of your vehicle for pick-up and drop-off by selecting Option 2 > Choice 2. This feature is available from 30 minutes before your confirmed pick-up time until you reach your destination.

 

Winter is coming—stay safe

With winter on the way, we remind you to keep access to your residence clear of snow and ice to make pick-up and drop-off easier. If the driver feels that snow accumulation could affect your safety or theirs, they may not be able to reach your door. A small effort makes a big difference for everyone’s safety.

Bill 14: Upcoming changes to English communications  

The implementation of Bill 14 will bring changes to how we share information in English.  You will receive a communication explaining the transition during 2026. Until then, no changes are expected.
