Regional Council received reports and agreed on next steps to support primary health care services in the NRRM: The Primary Care work plan was accepted for further investigation (physician validation, governance, finance, community engagement, Ministry partnership) — staff to confirm the plan and return with cost/time estimates; no budget approved yet and additional staff/consulting resources will be required.
For Kaska Land‑Use Planning, Council asked staff to seek clarifications from BC Parks and other partners (timing, removals, Treaty 8/co‑management definitions and potential economic impacts) and to raise concerns as needed (confirm that it will be a topic to include at UBCM).
Downtown identity concepts were supported (kiosk updates, window/bin wraps); Council directed staff to begin implementation planning with a goal to expand wraps (targeting ~10) and include sponsorship opportunities.
