Flight of a Survivor, September 16

Aviateurs.Québec is proud to be associated with the event "Vol d'un surviant à l'autre" .  This event was created in 2011 by Hugo Desrochers. The purpose of this event is to raise funds for the benefit of young children at the CHU de Québec who are fighting against cancer. Hugo Desrochers is a pilot for Air Canada and himself fought leukemia at the age of 29.

In the form of a day of seaplane flights departing from Lake Saint-Augustin, the event allows about twenty children to fly over the beautiful City of Quebec under the fall colors, thus allowing them to forget, the space of a few moments, the disease and the treatments.

Since 2018, the event has been associated with the Charles-Bruneau Foundation, an organization whose mission is to provide all children with cancer with the best chance of recovery by funding research and supporting the development of projects dedicated to cancer. pediatric hemato-oncology.

AeroVenture Casey 2023: Notice to Aviators & Visitors

It happens this weekend. AeroVenture Casey 2023 has issued a Notice to Aviators and Visitors. It is important for your own safety and that of other visitors that you review this document before heading to Casey (CSQ4).

A copy of this document is available HERE

Please note that La Tuque airport is closed via NOTAM until September 10. Limited fuel will be available at Casey - check with AeroVenture Casey to ensure you can refuel there.

Lac-à-Beauce, noise abatement procedures

Each year we see a significant increase in traffic passing through Lac-à-Beauce during AeroVenture in Casey. We remind you that all pilots should use the La Tuque frequency ATF 122.325 for movements to and from Lac-à-Beauce for the Labor Day period (September 1 to 4). We normally monitor 123.85 near Lac à Beauce, but we are aware that the proximity of La Tuque can lead to conflicts for pilots unfamiliar with the region.

Also, we would like everyone's cooperation to follow our noise abatement procedures, in order to maintain our good neighbor status.
