Debut Poetry Book publication! 

Fourth year BMS student Angelica Poversky released their debut poetry book "Tinder Loving Empire", a multifaceted autobiographical collection of poetry that  focuses on themes of relationships, self-forgiveness, sexual consent, sexuality, rape culture, gender, and the journey of self-love.

The Department of Central, Eastern & Northern European (CENES) is hosting a 30th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall German Film Series. 

Coming Out (1989, dir. Heiner Carow). As a boy, Philipp was strongly attracted to his best friend, but he put that behind him in order to live within the “norm.” But Philipp cannot deny his passionate desire for a young man. After years of repressing his sexuality, he finally accepts himself for who he truly is.

A team of 4th-year UBC Film Production students are looking for extras to act in their thesis film MidLife. 

They're filming a church service scene on October 19th and 20th from 4pm to 10pm at Vancouver Church near UBC area.

Its not too late to register for JRNL 520A: Decoding Social Media with the UBC School of Journalism!

The course is currently being offered to BMS Year 4 students under the course code ASTU 401K. If you are interested in registering for JRNL 520A, please register in the waitlist for ASTU 401K and you eligibility will be reviewed. You will be automatically registered for hte course if you meet the criteria.

If you would like to have Go Global transfer credits considered to fulfill the Core Plus requirement, they must be submitted before your exchange term. Any courses submitted after an exchange term will not be considered to fulfill the Core Plus requirement.
