Update on preventive measures at the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue regarding COVID-19

The Mayor, City Council and the General Director are closely monitoring the current situation regarding the coronavirus. Taking into account all the information and recommendations from the Government of Quebec and the Direction de la Santé publique du Quebec,  specific measures are being implemented for the coming weeks.

Here are the measures in place, as of March 16:

Municipal Buildings

CITY HALL:
The City Hall is now open to the public only from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday to Friday.
This measure will take effect tomorrow, Tuesday March 17.

However, when possible, we encourage alternative means of communication (telephone, email) rather than in person.

To reach the reception or obtain the email address of the employee you wish to reach, please contact 514-457-5500 or info@sadb.qc.ca.

OTHER BUILDINGS:
The library, the Centre Harpell and the park chalets are still closed to the public.

Meetings with Municipal Employees

No meeting with a City employee at City Hall or any other municipal building will take place until further notice.

Several municipal employees will be working from home. It is therefore recommended to contact them by email.

Essential Services Maintained

Public works and the municipal patrol are essential services and will remain fully operational.

Information on COVID-19 and Preventive Measures

We remind you that if you have any questions concerning the COVID-19 coronavirus, we invite you to consult official sources of information.

If you think you have symptoms resembling those of the coronavirus, that is to say, cough, fever or breathing difficulties, first contact Info-Santé at 8-1-1 before consulting.

We also remind you of the recommended preventive hygiene measures:

  • Wash your hands often with warm running water and soap for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use an alcohol-based disinfectant if you do not have access to soap and water.
  • When you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with your arm to reduce the spread of germs. If you use a tissue, throw it out as soon as possible and wash your hands afterwards.
  • Avoid direct contact for greetings, such as handshakes and hugs.
  • Keep a distance of at least 1 meter between you and other people.
  • Visits to patients in hospitals or long-term care accommodation are prohibited.

Given the rapidly evolving situation, these measures will be reassessed regularly and may be subject to change. If so, you will be kept informed.

We thank you for your understanding and your cooperation in this exceptional situation.
