ORGANIZATION OF WORK AND PROFESSIONAL ISSUES
The APTS launches a series of factsheets on workload

Did you know that the concept of workload has three separate dimensions? Prescribed workload, real workload and experienced workload.

This is what you’ll learn in the first factsheet on the topic, released this week by the APTS, kicking off a brand new information campaign about workload.

In total, 12 factsheets will be published, exploring different facets of this issue, which is one of our priorities.

The APTS is advocating a new approach: better understanding work overload to better fight it with the right tools, at the right time, to more effectively protect ourselves.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
"Play it safe!"

This is the theme for OHS week, taking place October 20 to 26; you’ll be hearing about it from your local team.

Developed by the provincial OHS committee, the campaign focuses on the importance of learning to recognize different types of risks in your workplace.

And for good reason. Even though the health and social services sector accounts for less than 10% of workplaces in Québec, it generates 45% of employment injuries recognized by the CNESST. It’s something to think about.

SOCIAL SECURITY
Retraite Québec: less paper, more online services

For those concerned: Paper versions of a number of documents are no longer available from Retraite Québec (part of the digital transition effort), which is why it’s important to register for “My Account” so you don’t miss anything.

The agency will continue to send statements of participation for 2023 until mid-December. New services are also available online:

If you have questions or need help, contact customer service at Retraite Québec.

SOCIO-POLITICAL ACTION
Keeping people at the heart of public services

Unfortunately, not everyone can read, write or use the Internet and digital tools.

This is a serious problem if they need to access public services, particularly when it comes to their health, income or quality of life.

To prevent them from being left behind, the Regroupement des groupes populaires en alphabétisation du Québec invites you to read and sign the declaration “Traversons l’écran: pour un virage numérique humain.”

Objective: 10,000 signatures. We need yours!
