One-day Conference on Music Audiences
A one-day conference entitled “Approaching Music Audiences. Statistics, Stakeholders, and Actions” was held on Friday, March 18, 2016. Many DMAQ members were on hand to present theoretical reflections as well as some results of ongoing work on the audiences for music and the arts.
Member researchers and professional milieu partners were thus able to discuss issues of cultural politics, music outreach, and also the transformation of music listening habits within a digital context.
Following this one-day conference, the DMAQ is pleased to welcome two new researcher members to its team: Philippe Le Guern, professor at the Université de Nantes and project leader for Musimorphose(s), as well as Jean-Claude Yon, professor at the Université Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and Director of the Centre d’histoire culturelle des sociétés contemporaines.
The presentations given during this one-day conference will soon be available on our website!
