The Mount Pleasant VPL, The Mount Pleasant Business Improvement Area, and WorkBC Midtown present the 2025 Mount Pleasant Career and Resource Fair! Meet a wide variety of employers and resource providers all under one roof inside the beautiful Heritage Hall in the heart of the Mount Pleasant area.

Essential Work Skills for Newcomers - April 2025

The Essential Work Skills for Newcomers Program is accepting registrations! This free 4-week program supports newcomers to gain knowledge and skills to succeed in the Canadian workforce.

Dates: Monday April 14th –  Tuesday May 13^th 2025

Basic Life Skills involve the learning and development of pre-employment readiness skills required as a foundation for life and all other learning. Examples of Basic Life Skills include (but are not limited to) the following topics:

Success Story - Sarah Dmytruk

In honor of World Autism Awareness day on April 2nd we want to highlight the inspring story of Sarah Dmytruk. Sarah was drawn towards working in the trades industry after trying a welding class in high school. Once she was no longer a novice she began looking for career opportunities. It was then that Sarah was diagnosed as being someone with High-functioning Autism.
