In preparation for downtown improvement project construction coming in the spring, hydrovac work on North Railway Street will be taking place as soon as possible the week of January 13 and take several days to complete, weather permitting.

The work is to verify locations of existing buried utilities and may also include surface restoration to sidewalks/roads affected by the construction. Please expect construction noise, temporary lane changes/closures and traffic disruption to facilitate the work. Watch for signage, crews and equipment and use caution while in the area. Are you ready for your Fire Inspection?

Okotoks Fire & Rescue will begin conducting regular Fire and Life Safety Inspections for commercial and business properties the week of January 13! These inspections play a crucial role in making sure that your business is compliant with fire safety regulations and that proper precautions are in place to safeguard both people and property. Scheduling your inspection in advance is not required. A Fire Inspector will stop by during normal business hours to conduct the inspection. Your annual inspection will likely happen around the same time as it did in 2024.
