"The time to act is now" : New emergency department and trauma centre will save lives

When a patient with a severe injury arrives in the hospital’s trauma unit, a team of more than 20 highly skilled physicians and nurses swoop in to care for them with expertise and precision.

Today, we do this at the Civic campus in a room half the size of modern standards, in an emergency department that sees one-and-a-half times as many patients every year as it was designed for.

Focus on representation and safety at second Indigenous Peoples Advisory Council meeting

As the new Civic development project continues, TOH will work closely with the Indigenous Peoples Advisory Circle, representing First Nations, Métis and Inuk leaders and advisors, to provide guidance on creating spaces that are safe and respectful for people of all cultures, at its new campus, as well as its existing facilities.
