LOBSTER DINNER AND 2019 ANNUAL ENCAN

Aviateurs.Québec is pleased to announce that the 2019 Lobster Dinner will be held at the La Madeleine Golf Club on May 25, 2019.

The club is located at 3501 Montée du 4e Rang, Ste-Madeleine J0H 1S0.

We will have our auction again online and an auction cried on site.

Book this date for an exceptional evening in the company of aviation buffs like you.

MARINA VENICE TAKES ITS OPERATIONS AS A HYDROBASE (CST8)

We have learned that Marina Venice will definitely cease its activities as a Hydrobase on October 31st.

The owners of Marina Venice, the Thomas Marine Group have decided as well. After Mascouche, this is the second aerodrome to close in less than two years on the north shore of Montreal. Thirty devices will have to find a new nest by then.

SEPTEMBER 29: FLYING POKER RUN IN TROIS-RIVIÈRES (CYRQ)

 

September 29: First Flying Poker Run of the Mauricie Pilots Association

What is a Flying Poker?

The game consists of going to five predetermined airports to pick up an envelope containing a game card and bring it back to the destination airport.

Upon the return of the participants, we will open the envelopes to reveal your (poker hand) which will determine the winners of the three best positions.

Who can participate?

All registrants (pilots, co-pilots, passengers) can participate, as long as their gaming rights are paid. Each participant will have to pay $ 10 to be registered.

What places will be visited?

Departure from Trois-Rivières CYRQ, Victoriaville CSR3, Sherbrooke CYSC, St-Hyacinthe CSU3, Sorel CSY3, and return to Trois-Rivières CYRQ.

What do we gain?

The pleasure of flying, meeting other aviation enthusiasts, visiting different regions or fall landscapes that start to color and bonus the best poker hand will earn $ 100, the second $ 75, and the third $ 50,

Progress of the activity

From 8:30 to 10:00, registration of participants at the Trois-Rivières airport and a first envelope will be given, from then you can browse the other 4 airports to do the freelancing of your other 4 envelopes. At 4:00 pm, all participants must be back in Trois-Rivières to open the envelopes and determine the winners.

RVA OF SAINT-BERNARD DE LACOLLE

Last Saturday took place the 2nd RVA of Saint-Bernard de Lacolle. A great success. The weather fully cooperated and about twenty planes rolled on the grass track. This was another opportunity for our pilots to meet new people, to fraternize, to discover a new airfield.

André Lafrance, owner of the aerodrome and organizer of the event, was very satisfied with the way things went. 

Already, he plans the 3rd edition in 2019. Mark your calendar, it will be 20, 21 and 22 September 2019.

CESSATION OF AVIATION INSURANCE PROGRAM.QUÉBEC

The partners of the Program, Charette Assurances and Global Aerospace, announced their withdrawal from the partnership, respectively on August 1, 2018 and August 31, 2018. This means that our insurance program in its current form has ceased. exist on September 1st.

Note that insurance coverage contracted prior to this date remains in effect for the remainder of the policy year. Subsequently, Global is willing to offer aviation insurance coverage outside the Aviateurs.Québec program, via Charette or any other broker.

In the meantime, your Board of Directors is continuing its efforts to develop a new insurance partnership, in the best interests of Aviateurs.Québec and its aircraft-owning members.
