Moving office or hiring?

Submit an IT Move request to ensure your computers & phones get moved safely too.

Don't forget to set-up IT services for individuals that are new to UBC or your department using the Okanagan - Employee IT Onboarding form in the UBC Self-Service Portal.

If you have staff or faculty leaving you can suspend their access to IT services using the Okanagan - Employee IT Offboarding.

IT Service Centre Walk-Up Support Summer Hours

May 2nd to August 26th the Service Centre will be open for walk-up support from 10 am to 12 noon and 1 to 3 pm, or by appointment. Regular support hours will resume August 29, 2022.

If you have a computer issue or would like to speak with a technician, please request an appointment using the UBC Self-Service Portal.

If you have a quick question or pressing issue, please call 250.807.9000 M-F 8 am -4 pm.

UBC Records Management Survey

The Records Management (RM) Program across both UBC campuses is seeking feedback from the UBC community on services and initiatives. Responses to this survey will help to improve and promote the RM Program and guide future work. Participation is voluntary. The survey will take less than five minutes to complete and closes July 7.

UBC ARC – Introduction to Databases Workshop
| June 27 | 9:00am – 12 noon

UBC Advanced Research Computing (ARC) is hosting a 2.5 hour Zoom lecture-format workshop, Introduction to Databases. In this workshop, they will provide an overview of databases and then use a case study to demonstrate how to build a relational database from scratch, interact with the database, and perform in-database analytics. Attendees should have some basic understanding of Linux command line.

Digital Signage Upgrades

We will be updating the screens around campus used to deliver campus updates and emergency information over the summer. Screens will be upgraded with more energy efficent, larger displays at 13 locations in 10 buildings across campus. 

This service is provided by University Relations with technical support from the UBCO IT Audio Visual Team. Thank you for your patience while the teams work on this over the coming weeks.
