Message from the President | | Dear members, dear partners, Many of you have expressed an interest in the 7th edition of the not-to-be-missed International Aerospace Innovation Forum. I am particularly proud to announce the opening of our ticket booth for the 2020 edition! In 2018, we brought together 1,300 participants from more than 15 different countries. At that time, we made this event one of the largest gatherings of the global aerospace industry in North America! Today, even though the health context has prompted us to rethink the format of the event, the Aéro Montréal team is working with just as much passion to prepare a new and unique edition for you. From December 14 to 15, 2020, I invite you to join us for a 100% virtual and secure event on the theme of “Intelligent Travel Rethought.” You will board the green aircraft of the future. You will have stopovers that will allow you to take stock of the paradigm shifts brought about by the COVID-19 crisis. You will learn about the impact on our industry and take part in the rethought journey. Looking to the future, the International Aerospace Innovation Forum will provide an opportunity to discover the promising technologies of tomorrow: from the emergence of flying taxis to the development of autonomous vehicles, you will travel to the aerospace industry of the future. This will also be an excellent opportunity to plan virtual business meetings, adapted to the different needs of participants from around the world. Don’t wait any longer, reserve your spot now! In addition to these great announcements regarding our International Aerospace Innovation Forum, there are two excellent accomplishments to announce concerning our members. I would like to salute the work of Altitude Aerospace which was selected for the all-electric aircraft of EVIATION-'Alice '. I also welcome the acquisition of Electro-Kut by the DCM Group Inc. This represents a strategic merger of two companies with complementary expertise that will undoubtedly strengthen our Quebec aerospace cluster. I invite you to learn more on these accomplishments in the Industry News section of this newsletter.
