New Business Advisory Supports in B.C.

Following the closure of Small Business BC, the Province has introduced new supports to ensure entrepreneurs and business owners continue to have access to guidance and resources.

Businesses can now access Business Advisory Services, including free one-on-one consultations with advisors for personalized support.

The Province has also enhanced its online resources, making it easier to find tools and support for every stage of business:

 

Explore Grants and Funding to Help Your Business Grow

1. Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI)

  • For: Businesses impacted by tariffs, trade disruptions, or supply chain challenges
  • Funding: Up to $1M+ in non-repayable funding for eligible projects
  • Applications: Currently open

2. Business Scale-up and Productivity (BSP) Program – PacifiCan

  • For: High-growth, innovative B.C. businesses that are ready to scale operations, increase productivity, commercialize new solutions, or expand into new markets
  • Funding: Interest-free repayable contributions of $200,000 to $5 million per project
  • Deadline to apply: May 27, 2026

3. B.C. Employer Training Grant

  • For: Employers looking to train, upskill, or certify employees in B.C.
  • Funding: Up to $10,000 per employee (covers up to 80% of training costs)
  • Applications: Currently open

4. CanExport SMEs Program

  • For: Canadian small and medium-sized businesses (3–500 employees) with plans to expand into new international markets and grow export sales
  • Funding: Up to $50,000 per project, covering up to 50% of eligible export development costs
  • Deadline to apply: May 29, 2026
