In 2024, the Town of Okotoks saw drivers from more than 165 unique postal codes connect to our public charging stations, with the most drivers coming from Southern Alberta and BC. Curious where public stations already exist in Town? Check out ChargeHub for a map. The Basics: Levels of Charging, Types of Connectors, and Installation Tips Learn more Cost Recovery: If you want to charge a fee to drivers for the electricity they use, ensure you select a charging station with session metering and payment capabilities. Often this will require an ongoing network subscription to manage customers and payments. The Town of Okotoks rate is $2/hr (+GST) per hour of charging at a Level 2 station. Funding to help with the initial costs to install an EV Charging Station is available now from Alberta Municipalities! More info can be found by clicking the button below.
