Quality Forum 2018 is Coming!

The BC Patient Safety & Quality Council (BCPSQC), which supports PVN, just announced the program and opened registration for the 7th annual Quality Forum. The conference will take place February 21-23 in Vancouver – and we’re excited about its content related to patient engagement!

The Forum focuses on improving the quality of health care and in 2018 expects to welcome over 1,200 participants and 200 presenters in three days packed with more than 80 sessions, six workshops, three field trips, three plenaries and a debate.

As in previous years, Quality Forum 2018 has been self-assessed as Patients Included, which means that it met five clauses that ensure the patient experience will be incorporated. Among its commitments, the Forum partnered with PVN to sponsor the attendance of 20 patient partners who were chosen through an engagement opportunity.

If you were not chosen through the RSVP process but would still like to participate, visit QualityForum.ca to learn more about the Forum and register. We’ve published a blog post with a list of all the presentations related to patient engagement, as well as information about other activities for patient partners.

You Can Also Participate Virtually

There will be many opportunities for you to join the online conversation if you’re unable to attend the Forum, such as following and using the hashtag #QF18 in real time on social media and watching some presentations live on the Council’s Facebook page. Dozens of presentation and storyboard files will also be uploaded to QualityForum.ca after the event.

Stay tuned for more information in our upcoming newsletters!
