Pritchard Water Treatment Plant Now Operational
Customers of the Pritchard Community Water System are advised that the new water treatment plant is now in service. Residents who rely on this system should notice a significant improvement in drinking water quality now that water is being filtered.
Please be advised that the Boil Water Notice remains in place for the time being, as certain technical requirements still need to be met for the Boil Water Notice to be lifted by Interior Health. Water quality is significantly improved, but residents should continue to boil their water as a precaution until the Boil Water Notice is formally lifted.
We appreciate residents' patience as we work through the final steps of commissioning the Water Treatment Plant. We acknowledge that final steps have taken longer than anticipated in 2026, but we look forward to the permanent improvements to water quality this will bring to the community.
The TNRD will broadly communicate when the Boil Water Notice is lifted.
