The FNLMAQL, in collaboration with Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), will hold a Reserve Land and Environment Management Program (RLEMP) Summit in February 2026 in Quebec City.

This event is designed for all communities currently participating in RLEMP, those exploring entry into the program, and those interested in supporting or training a certified lands manager.

The RLEMP Summit will aim to:

  • Define lands managers’ roles and responsibilities within RLEMP.
  • Provide an opportunity to connect with your ISC regional team, learn about their roles, and explore how to build a strong and effective partnership.
  • Create space for open discussion and feedback on the type of support your community needs and how our association can best respond.
  • Bring lands managers and communities together to share experiences, build relationships, and strengthen our collective capacity.
  • Present the Professional Lands Management Certification Program (PLMCP) and provide an overview of its expectations, course schedule, instructors, and what students can expect throughout the program.

Official registration forms will soon be shared with communities eligible to attend.

If you have any questions or comments, or are interested in attending, please contact training@fnlmaql.ca .
