In our DNA

Montréal, a City on the move

Are you a sports enthusiast? Montréal is a vibrant city with a wide variety of sporting events. From hockey to soccer (or what our European friends call football), it hosts a vibrant mix of professional teams, international events, and passionate fans.

Montréal Canadiens

A famous ice hockey team in the National Hockey League (NHL). Founded in 1909, their nickname is the "Habs" (short for the French "Habitants", early settlers in Quebec from France). They are also called the "Holy flannel", referring to the fabric used for the player’s first jersey. They have won the Stanley Cup 24 times. No wonder why hockey is our national sport!

Montréal Alouettes

This is a team from the Canadian Football League (CFL) that plays at Percival Molson Stadium, in the heart of the city. They have won several Grey Cups.

The Montreal Alouettes 2026 schedule is available, you’ll feel the excitement if you’re in town during game day!

CF Montréal

Formerly known as the Montréal Impact, this team competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) and plays at Stade Saputo, located at the heart of Montréal’s Olympic Park. Around 20 000 supporters meet up on match days to cheer on their team.
