The Fraser Highway One-Way Project will improve the area for our businesses, residents, and visitors. It includes replacing aging underground infrastructure and revitalizing the Fraser One-Way with more greenery, new gathering spaces, and better pedestrian amenities.

This newsletter aims to keep businesses and residents informed of planned, ongoing, and completed work.

Upcoming traffic change starting May 1st between
204 Street to Salt Lane

Starting Thursday, May 1, Fraser Highway will be closed to vehicle access, including parking, between 204 Street and Salt Lane. Parking and vehicle access will remain available between Salt Lane and 206 Street. Vehicles can enter Fraser Highway via Salt Lane and exit at 206 Street.

See the map below for the road closure and vehicle detour route.

Ongoing and upcoming works

Installation of sanitary sewer infrastructure

New underground sanitary pipes will be installed to improve the area's sewage servicing.

Fun Fact: The wastewater is moved from homes and businesses to be treated and processed in treatment plans by Metro Vancouver.

Installation of curb bulges

New curb bulges are being added near crosswalks along the One-Way. These concrete extensions along roadways will enhance pedestrian safety and provide more space for planting.

Installation of water infrastructure

New underground watermains will be installed to improve the water supply for the area.

Fun Fact: A strong and reliable water system is key to delivering clean drinking water to residents year-round and making sure fire hydrants are supplied with water for emergencies and fires.
