New outdoor exhibits at the Museum

The Museum has installed new outdoor panels around the old train station which explore local heritage through the building’s history, as well as a focus on Indigenous history.

Another addition outside the building is the Methodist Episcopal Church stone dated 1879, which was held at the Grace United Church, then given to Grey Roots Museum. It has now returned to the Blue Mountains and found a home in our museum’s garden. These outdoor additions provide visitors with opportunities to learn about local history at anytime.

Pet food for animals in need

In cooperation with the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, the L.E. Shore Library is now a designated Pet Food Depot.

Often, we see people prioritize food for their pets over food for themselves. We want to do our part by helping make pet food more accessible for individuals and families who are in need. By offering free pet food to those in need, we can ensure that pets are given the care and attention they deserve. You can find the Pet Food Depot in the lobby of the L.E. Shore Library.

The L.E. Shore Library will be closed on Monday, October 9 for Thanksgiving.
