For those who wish to deepen their knowledge and experience the forest, we are offering a 2-day intensive course on January 25 and 26. Participants can also sign up for one of our 2025 summer excursions for half (50%) the regular price: a day of foraging in the forest.

We regularly develop and test mushroom-based recipes: soups, risottos, ice creams, cookies and more. The most successful ones find their way into our shop under our Mycodelights label. Once the recipe has been fine tuned, we entrust their production to local professionnals whenever possible.

For example, our maple milky ice cream or our porcini shortbread are prepared by reliable artisans just a stone's throw from the boutique: MeuMeu creamery and Alice ô Choux pastry, in this case.

The label on processed food must indicate the product's nutritional value if it is to be sold in outlets other than those of the producer. The dried mushroom trade follows this rule.

Mushrooms are an exceptional source of nutrients, fiber, protein and minerals. But the label, like that of dried porcini mushrooms, shows zeros where you want to see less of those: calories, lipids and sugars.

Edible mushrooms are beneficial both for what they contain and for what they contain less.

Not so depressing correlation

A study of 24,000 American adults between 2005 and 2016 investigated the link between diet and risk of depression. Respondents were asked in particular if they had eaten mushrooms in the last two days.

Well! Depression was less likely in those respondents who had eaten mushrooms, regardless of social status or state of health. Is this the effect of a mushroom-specific amino acid, ergothioneine? Or of a more diversified diet?
