History Careers Night
"I learned to think critically in History, which I use in my career."
"History taught me to be curious and to have a willingness to learn."
On Wednesday February 6th, The UBC History Department and the History Student Association (HSA) co-hosted an evening panel discussion with five UBC History graduates. This evening event was hosted and moderated by Jan Prchal, the President of the HSA, and was attended by about 20 undergraduate students.
The panel discussion brought to light the value of working towards a history degree, the challenges of going from academia to the working world, and tips and tricks for the future. After the panel discussion, the students had the opportunity to network and ask their questions directly to the five participants.
