Launch of the 2025 City of Kimberley Capital Projects Storymap
The City of Kimberley is announcing the launch of its 2025 Major Capital Projects, featuring a comprehensive GIS Storymap. This initiative aims to keep residents informed about significant infrastructure projects planned for 2025 and will be regularly updated to showcase progress throughout the construction season.
The GIS Storymap provides an interactive platform for residents to explore the capital projects planned. Visitors to the page can find detailed information about each project, including where the work is taking place, what is being done, and how it might affect them.
Project Manager, Shane Castle, shares, "We’re excited to offer this interactive resource to our residents again this year. This Storymap will not only help keep everyone informed but also offer transparency as we move forward with our plans to improve the city's infrastructure and public spaces. Our goal is to ensure that the community stays updated and engaged every step of the way."
Here are the projects available on the Storymap:
- St. Mary's Avenue Reconstruction
- Marsden Street Active Transportation
- Annual Road Rehabilitation: Levirs Avenue
- Annual Road Rehabilitation: Ymir Street
- Sewer Pipe Lining: Morrison Sub
- 302nd Avenue Water Main Upgrade
