New CIHI report on priority health care topics 

The Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) has released its inaugural report on priority health care topics. Taking the pulse: A snapshot of Canadian health care, 2023 is an overview of what publicly available data tells us about how Canada fares in four priority areas.

A new ICES report explores household food insecurity using health administrative data linked to five waves of the Canadian Community Health Surveys. Findings suggest that efforts to support food security in families could reduce strain on the mental health system.

Impacts of COVID-19 on Yukon health care workers

A new study, co-authored by HDRN Canada Lead Dr. Michelle Leach, examines the impacts of COVID-19 on Yukon's health care workers. The study, which surveyed and interviewed nurses and physicians, found burnout rates were particularly high with women.

Unité de soutien SSA Québec has released a new guide that aims to help research teams adopt an approach that is sensitive to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) when applying for funding. The guide is based on a review of guidelines and best practices.
