Directory – Understanding Public Policy in Public Health: Resources for Knowledge and Competency Development

Would you like to expand your knowledge and strengthen your competencies to effectively contribute to the promotion and development of healthy public policy (HPPs)?

This directory compiles 100 key resources for developing public policy competencies in public health. Structured around eight competency categories identified in a literature review conducted in 2021 by the NCCHPP, these resources include trainings, guides, and various tools.

The NCCPH will be at Public Health 2025 

The National Collaborating Centres for Public Health (NCCPH) will be attending the Canadian Public Health Association’s annual conference, Public Health 2025, in Winnipeg from April 29 to May 1, 2025. The NCCs will present a symposium entitled Better Together: Drawing on 20 Years of Knowledge Translation to Navigate New Public Health Challenges. This symposium will highlight how knowledge translation and mobilization help address emerging public health challenges, through a guided discussion and exchanges on evolving practices. Join us on Wednesday, April 30, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for this opportunity to share and learn!
