Dates and deadlines | Share your thoughts with the new AVP, Students Dear students, As UBCO’s new Associate Vice-President for Students, I am committed to making your experience at UBCO the best it can be. To do that, I need to hear from you — I want to know what you care about, what your challenges are, and how the university can help you get the most out of your time with us. Throughout my first year, I’m planning to hold monthly listening sessions with students on a variety of themes such as the virtual student experience, health and wellness, BIPOC student experiences, and other topics related to your experience. This is an education for me—an opportunity to learn about your student culture, how UBCO student services are meeting your needs (or not), and, most importantly, for me to listen to help identify opportunities for us to support student success. I hope you can join me on Friday, October 2, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. (PDT) for my first session, which will be on the topic of the virtual student experience. Hope you see you there!
