Local artists, it’s your time to shine! Apply for the City’s 2026–2027 Visual Arts Exhibition and see your work on display in community spaces. Opportunities include one group exhibition and two solo shows. Don’t miss your chance — applications are accepted until February 8.

Spirit of Coquitlam
Apply for a Grant Starting Feb. 2

Applications open soon for the spring intake of the Spirit of Coquitlam Grant. Registered not-for-profit organizations based in and serving Coquitlam residents can apply for City funding to support community-building activities. The application period runs February 2 to 27.

Pinetree and Maillardville Community Centres have received Community Votes Coquitlam 2025 awards for Youth Sports and Recreation. Both centres are vibrant hubs with sports drop-ins, creative programs and dedicated youth spaces — all designed to help youth connect, stay active and feel supported.

We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam was derived from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (HUN-kuh-MEE-num) word kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (kwee-KWET-lum) meaning “Red Fish Up the River”. The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
