To be considered up-to-date, in addition to having a medical certificate, a pilot must meet the regulatory requirements for updating knowledge and maintaining skills (CAR 401.05).
To meet the two-year requirement, you must have successfully completed a recurrent training program within the last 24 months. There are several ways to comply with the standard on recurrent training programs. Among those authorized in the CARs, Aviateurs.Québec offers you one that is practical and enjoyable, namely participation in a periodic training program approved by Transport Canada. Convenient because this program allows participants to interact directly with an experienced and enjoyable instructor through this group of pilots who can thus fraternize, share.
In 2017-2018, some fifteen local pilots and airports associations organized training evenings or days including: Drummondville, Gatineau, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Sherbrooke, St-Georges de Beauce, Rimouski, St. Honoré, Dolbeau, Turtle Lake and Sept-Îles just to name a few.
Note that all these sessions are free for members of Aviateurs.Québec. A $ 45 fee applies to non-members. Note that these fees can be applied as credits towards an annual membership to Aviateurs.Québec ($ 75).
The team of professionals who animate these presentations is composed of Jean-Claude Grenier, Daniel Morissette, François Marquis, Robert Perreault, Gilles Lapierre, Jackie Alary, Philippe Lucas, Jean-Pascal Légaré and some others who are added according to the subjects of 'instruction.
