What's happening?

CNNB Explores New Nursing Designation

CNNB is exploring a regulatory framework for the registration and licensure of registered psychiatric nurses (RPNs) in New Brunswick. Prior to enabling RPN practice, a key milestone will be Royal Assent of the new Nursing Act currently with the Government of New Brunswick. While CNNB prepares for the new Nursing Act coming into force we are in the process of developing the regulations in order for CNNB to enable RPN practice in New Brunswick.

RPNs are currently regulated and licenced to practice in the western provinces, the territories, and the rest of Atlantic Canada (NS, NFL, PEI).

Watch for updates as this work progresses on the website, through ebulletins, and social media channels in the months ahead.
