June 4 – 3 to 6 p.m. → Sign up here! Come to Brennan Park Recreation Centre and get your bike tuned up and ready for the season. We will be located along the Corridor Trail and will be on site from 3 – 6 p.m. Bring your bike by to get that weird noise taken care of, breaks tightened or seat adjusted. If your bike needs a tweak to get it back into top condition, this is a great chance to have it done. Learn more and take part in this province-wide shift toward active transportation here. | | Traffic Impact Notice: Bridge Deck Cleaning Crews will be washing all District bridge decks starting Monday, June 1. The work is being done as part of routine annual bridge maintenance. Expect single-lane alternating traffic, noise and minimal dust. The following schedule for bridge deck washing is tentative, and could change based on unforeseen issues, as well as the size and degree of cleaning needed for each bridge: - June 1: Mamquam Road Mashiter Creek Bridge, Eagle Run and Dryden Road bridges

Campfire permit holders received a notification of the ban and suspension of the permit. Whether you’re running, biking, or walking your dog, always remember to follow these essential safety guidelines when recreating in bear country: | | Avoid surprise encounters! - Look for signs of recent bear activity, such as claw marks on trees or fresh scat.
- Talk, clap, or call out, especially near noisy rivers, thick brush, or berry patches.
- Leave the earbuds and headphones at home.
- Run or bike in groups.
- Be extra aware during the early morning and evening.
- Keep your dogs on leash. It’s the law!
If you do encounter a bear - Stop, stay calm and assess the situation.
- Do not run.
- Never turn your back on wildlife.
- Back away slowly and give the bear space.
- Talk calmly.
- Avoid eye contact.
