You can print and pay online from anywhere on your own device, or from the library’s public computers.

Scanning is now self-serve! Scan to your email address on our new machine.

Faxing is still available at the circulation desk—just ask.

Job Opening: Summer Reading Club Program Lead

The SRC Program Lead plans, organizes and implements programming for children and youth during the summer months. They will also provide excellent customer service to the public at our main information and service desk.

This is a temporary full time position (33 hrs per week) from June 15 to August 31, 2024 and is open to applicants between the ages of 15 and 30.

Dementia Workshop: Dementia Friends

Friday, April 19 | 1-3 pm

We all have a part to play! Become a dementia friend.

Small, everyday actions can help build a community that is inclusive, supportive of and safe for people living with dementia. Topics include:

  • What is a dementia-friendly community?
  • What is dementia?
  • How to recognize that someone might be living with dementia.
  • How to communicate in an effective and appropriate way.
  • Where you can go for more help.

Keeping Mentally Fit: A Talk on Working with Stress, with Rob Wynen

Sunday, April 28 | 1 pm

Maintaining mental fitness is crucial, particularly during challenging times. In this talk, we’ll explore strategies and techniques to prioritize our mental well-being and ensure we’re taking care of ourselves. By prioritizing our mental fitness we can cultivate resilience, enhance our overall well-being, and ensure that we’re taking care of the most important person in our lives—ourselves. This is a drop-in talk, no registration required.

Rob Wynen is a counsellor and lifestyle coach on Bowen Island. He has over 30 years’ experience in physical fitness and community services and is beginning a new career in Mental Wellness Counselling on Bowen Island.
