CLOSURE OF CITY PARKS AND THE PROMENADE

In this time of home confinement, we understand that outdoor walks are all the more important and that there may be disappointment with the closure of the parks and the Promenade du canal.

However, in order to ensure the safety of citizens, that is to say to limit access to places where it would be difficult to respect a distance of 2 meters and to avoid contamination by objects (play modules not being disinfected, for example), the City made the decision to close the parks and the Promenade, following the recommendations of the Direction de la santé publique du Québec.

Please respect this preventive measure and leave the closing banners in place. The SPVM will ensure diligent and more regular surveillance of these areas, as well as the municipal patrol.

BEWARE OF FRAUD

The SPVM warns citizens against fraudsters who are taking advantage of the current situation to claim new victims. They try to take advantage of the rumors, fears and uncertainties of the population in order to commit scams or cybercrimes.

FLOOD WATERS

CURENT STATUS UPDATE

Lac des Deux-Montagnes: The current water level is still NORMAL.

Lac St-Louis: The current water level is below the "threshold of minor flooding".

HOW CAN I BE PREPARED?

In the event that floods occur again this year, the current situation with COVID-19 could make it harder to find voluteers and obtain other help and support services.

It is therefore very IMPORTANT that you take all the necessary measures to properly prepare yourself.

Be proactive!

Get informed! Know what to do if the water goes up and prepare as much as possible.
