  Please review the FAQ and Handbook closely

  SURE Applications
  Deadline: February 20 to zool.gradprgm@ubc.ca
  Students who applied for the NSERC USRA will automatically be considered for the SURE.
  - Available in summer sessions only
  - Students must be UBC-V B.Sc./BCS students, and may be either domestic or international
  - Award holders must be appointed for at least 8 weeks
  (subject to change each year as we receive information from Science)

Biology Office

• Please have a contingency plan for classes, exams, etc. in case of transit strike Feb 3rd onwards.
   
• The April final exam schedule with dates should be available in late February.
   
• Do you have a stellar TA or peer tutor this term, who would be a good candidate for a Biology TA Spotlight or Peer Tutor Spotlight?
  
  These spotlights are featured on the Biology website, and you can also see them on screens throughout the Biological Sciences Building. They are a great way for us to celebrate these important teaching team members, and an opportunity for the whole Biology community to get to know them better.
  
  If you would like to nominate someone for a Spotlight, please email Erica Jeffery (jefferye@mail.ubc.ca) with your nominee's name (pronouns), contact info, and one or two words describing why they are an excellent candidate.
