School is back in season!

As our community prepares to head back to the classroom, remember to slow down, stay alert, and watch for pedestrians. 

Never pass school buses with red blinking lights - that includes oncoming traffic on streets with no dividers. 

FCSS Back-to-School support

Backpack Program applications are open from August 17 until September 18; and the Back-to-School Resource Fair will take place this Saturday, August 29.

Applications are now open for the Cochrane FCSS/United Way partnerhip grants, which provide funding to local non-profits and charitable organizations to strengthen the social-wellbeing of individuals and families in Cochrane and West Rocky View County.

Community Tree Fruit Round-Up returns for third year, building on strong community success

The Town of Cochrane is inviting residents to take part once again in the Community Tree Fruit Round-Up, a successful community initiative that brings neighbours together.

Back-to-School Family Resource Fair returns to help families prepare for a successful school year

The Cochrane and Area FRN is inviting residents to the annual Back-to-School Family Resource Fair on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. at the SLS Centre sports court.

Parks, Culture and Active Living Master Plan will guide future investments in Cochrane community spaces

The Town of Cochrane has reached a significant milestone in shaping the community's future, with Council adopting the Parks, Culture and Active Living Master Plan on July 13, 2026.
