What inspired you to become a Town Councillor?

My motivation to serve our community stems from conversations with our residents, which inspired me to continue the great work being done in our Town. Becoming a Town Councillor offers me the opportunity to directly address the issues that matter most to our community. I believe that through proactive engagement and a collaborative approach, we can find solutions and truly make a difference. My goal is to create a pleasant tomorrow for all of us, ensuring that the future of our Town is in good stead.

As you reflect on your time as Deputy Lord Mayor, what are you most proud of?

I am most proud of our achievements in agriculture and irrigation. Also, the influence and strong relationships we've built at Queen's Park have been instrumental in securing the resources and support needed to implement vital initiatives and grants to support these sectors.

What do you see as top priorities in the Town right now?

My top priorities for the Town are building a robust economy, enhancing our agriculture sector, promoting agri-tourism, and ensuring housing affordability. Strengthening our economy is crucial for creating job opportunities and sustaining growth while focusing on agriculture and agri-tourism can leverage our rich resources and attract visitors, boosting local businesses. Equally important is addressing housing affordability to ensure that everyone has access to affordable homes.

Are there any upcoming projects or initiatives you're particularly excited about?

Yes, I am looking forward to the Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which will outline the future of parks and recreation in the community. We also have some fantastic new and ongoing youth programming that aims to engage and support our youth in meaningful ways. I am also excited about the upcoming Trisha Romance Day in September, which will celebrate the arts and bring our community together in a unique way.

What do you love most about Niagara-on-the-Lake?

What I love most about Niagara-on-the-Lake is our agriculture, agri-tourism, and the residents who make our Town special. Our residents are the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and I am proud to call this community my home.
