Gilbert Planer Division sales team was happy to participate in SFPA Expo 2023 in Nashville!

Gilbert brought a big team to the SFPA Nashville show in August. Since there’s a lot of activity in the southeastern USA territory, we found it important to have the right team to meet with customers and answer all questions during the show. The Gilbert S Series Planer and Splitting module were displayed. The equipment left Nashville to go to Pleasant River in Maine.

We were proud to bring the Men of the Year, Brochu brother’s equipment to the show.

Gilbert Planer Installation in Arizona!

Restoration Forest Products in Bellemont, AZ is located just south of the Grand Canyon Park.

Gilbert delivered a High Speed 8 Roll Planer. Our service team was on site early October for installation.

It was important for the customer to have the nicest finish on the market and get around 10 knife marks per inch with a high speed operation

Gilbert cutterhead design will fit 42 knives on 16’’ cutting circle. With VFDs on heads they will run 4500 rpm, for approx. 10 kmpi at 1500 feet per minute.

Gilbert installation in Razorbacks state!

This summer, Gilbert delivered a Gilbert S Series Planer and splitting module to Roger’s Lumber Company in Camden, Arkansas.

It was great working with Jake, son and Joe Rogers, father and their family owned business.

Being a hardwood mill, this was the Roger’s first experience with Southern Yellow Pine specie.

There was a great collaboration between both companies and Gilbert wishes many successful years to the family.

Our Gilbert Service team is very busy in the southeastern USA

Many other new start-up projects in the Southeast USA for this winter/fall:

Gilbert is presently starting up a Gilbert 6 Roll Planer at Weyerhaeuser Holden, LA

Interfor Thomaston, GA is currently doing the installation of a Gilbert 6 Roll Planer, which should be ready for start-up in Spring 2024.

West Fraser, Russellville is adding a splitting module to their existing Gilbert Planer.

In 2013, Gilbert sold a Gilbert 6 Roll Planer to Bibler Bros in Russellville, Arkansas. The sawmill eventually was sold to West Fraser. Over the years, the mill opted for many new upgrades to keep the machine up to date with its latest technologies.

In 2023, Gilbert sold a Splitting Module to install at the end of the planer. The splitting module will be used to split 2x8s into two pieces of 2x4s.

With its sawblade and saw tool configuration Gilbert offers the fastest splitting module in the world!

Acon Timber - Argentina

The Gilbert service team flew to Argentina end of October to finalize the mechanical and electrical installation of a Gilbert 6 Roll Planer and Splitting module in Virasoro, Corrientes, Argentina.

HS Timber, Austrian owned company, is in charge of the entire new sawmill project. The Gilbert Planer is installed with Springer a Global Leader for innovative solutions in the wood-industry processing industry.

Our service team developed strong relationships with the staff on site. Lucky them, they got invited to a special Argentinian Asado barbecue dinner!
