THE FAIRVIEW—CLAYTON PARK REPORT

Shadow Minister for Energy and the Office of Equity and Anti-Racism

Dear Fairview Clayton Park Residents,

As the leaves begin to change colour and the crisp autumn air sets in, I am excited to share with you the latest community events and updates.

With the arrival of fall, we're reminded to take extra precautions to stay healthy during the impending cold and flu season. Keep an eye out for flu shot and Covid vaccine clinics in our community and practice good hygiene to protect yourself and others. Please note that masking is being required in our hospitals once again for the season.

In other news, I'm excited to share that I have recently taken on the role of Shadow Minister for Energy and the Office of Equity and Anti-Racism. These new responsibilities allow me to advocate for cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions and work towards a more inclusive, equitable community for Fairview Clayton Park and all of Nova Scotia. I'm committed to ensuring that our energy future and social policies align with the best interests of our communities.

Today our provincial Legislature returned to start the 64th General Assembly. I remain committed to representing your interests and addressing key issues affecting our community. Follow me on social media to stay up to date on what is happening during this fall session and see other community focused clips such as member statements celebrating outstanding members of our community as well as excerpts from Question Period relevant to us.

As always, your input is invaluable. If you have any concerns, suggestions, or questions, please reach out. Together, we can make a healthier, more connected, and productive Fairview Clayton Park.

Warm regards,

Community Spotlight

#SmallBusinessEveryDay

#SmallBusinessEveryDay is a year-round initiative that encourages Canadians to support the independent businesses that make their communities unique by keeping their loonies local.

Launched in 2020, the campaign has now entered its fourth year and is helping shed light on the important role small businesses play in supporting our local economies.

Our community is made up of small businesses, show your support by choosing local when you can, write a review, share posts, and engage with content from your favourite local small businesses on social media, and you can show your gratitude by sending a thank you note to your favourite Canadian small business for a chance to win $1,000 cash to support local and a Big Thank You Gift Box of small business goodies from each province and territory across Canada!
