Dear romy,

For the past week, the student services team has been navigating this new turmoil just like you. We take the situation seriously and are closely following government directives to protect our employees and students while continuing to operate our services remotely. If you haven't already, please read carefully the information regarding the summer semester.

Specific support and services for our students!

We understand that the current circumstances are causing a lot of worry and concern. Given the climate of uncertainty in which we operate, they are completely legitimate. Know that we are committed to your success and we work tirelessly to make our various services accessible remotely, during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

Psychological support, financial aid, COVID-19 emergency fund (upcoming details next week), accommodation for students with disabilitie, our advisers are available to respond to your requests. Make sure to give us your permanent code, describe your situation, the services expected and how we can get in touch with you (email, local telephone number, Skype ID).

It could be even more complex to complete the process of renewing immigration documents (Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) and Study Permits) within the time limits. The immigration departments have put in place some exceptional measures during this period of crisis (see their guidelines at the following links: MIFI / IRCC), but despite this crisis, all international students are required to maintain legal status during their stay in Canada.

If you have general questions about immigration, please consult our website or join upcoming webinar. Check Interface every monday morning to stay tuned and / or join our Facebook group. If you have an emergency, contact our international student advisors by email at etudiantsetrangers@etsmtl.ca or take an appointment online starting on Tuesday March 31.
